Busway Tickets

Important Information regarding Busway Ticket availability


Due to the impending withdrawal of Whippet services along the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, there will be changes to the availability of tickets available for purchase along the track.


31 October 2018

After 31 October 2018, you will no longer be able to purchase Cambridgeshire Multi-Operator Smart Card tickets. These will be withdrawn from the Cambridgeshire County Council website from this date.


9 November 2018

From 9 November 2018, customers will no longer be able to top up their existing Cambridgeshire Multi-Operator Smart Cards on the buses. These ticket options will be removed from the ticket machines from this date.


11 November 2018

From this date, we are pleased to announce that we will be introducing return tickets from certain stops along the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Passengers boarding in the following locations will now be able to buy return tickets.

  • St. Ives Park & Ride Site
  • Fen Drayton Lakes
  • Swavesey
  • Longstanton Park & Ride Site


The ticket prices to Central Cambridge are as follows:

31 January 2019

All Cambridgeshire Multi-Operator trips must be used by this date. From 1 February 2019, you will be unable to use your Cambridgeshire Multi-Operator Smart Cards on our Busway fleet.
