Student Discounted Bus Passes

We're offering new discounted student bus passes to those studying in Bedford, Cambridge and Peterborough. Students can enjoy unlimited discounted travel, including weekends! Choose between our annual and termly student passes below.

Our Student Bus Passes cover a range of different areas within the Eastern region. 

You can choose a pass which allows for unlimited travel within the Megarider Zone of a particular town/city or within the Megarider Plus Zone of a county.

Annual Passes:

Unlimited travel within your selected zone available all year round. 

 

Term Passes:

There are 3 Terms per year. A Term Pass enables unlimited travel within your selected zone during your chosen Term.

Student Bus Pass Pricing 19.20

Once you've purchased your Student Bus Pass online, you will receive a blue Stagecoach Student Smart Card in the post.

Simply show your Student Smart Card along with your Student ID card to your driver. Student ID cards include any valid UK card distributed by a college or University, this also includes TOTUM cards. The name displayed on your ID must match the name on your Student Smart Card.

Place your Student Smart Card onto the reader when boarding and then you'll be on your way! Please note that when first using a new Student Smart Card, you will need to hold this down on the on-bus card reader for a little longer than usual in order for the card to become active. 

 

 

Student Cards

We offer Student Bus Passes which cover a range of different areas within the Eastern region. You can choose a pass which allows for unlimited travel within Bedford, Bedfordshire, Peterborough, Cambridge and Cambridgeshire. Please see the areas covered in the maps below:

Any full time student with a valid ID can purchase one of our Discounted Student Bus Passes.


  • This includes students at: School, College, Sixth Form or University.

  • We ask that you please show your ID to drivers upon boarding.

 

Annual Student Passes:

Can be used at any time, on any day including weekends and Bank Holidays, from 26 August 2019 until 31 July 2020. 

 

Term Student Passes:

Can be used at any time, on any day including weekends and Bank Holidays but this pass must be used within the date range of the selected Term. Term dates are as follows:

  • Autumn: Valid 26 August 2019 - 31 December 2019

  • Spring: Valid 1 January 2020 - 19 April 2020

  • Summer: Valid 20 April 2020 - 31 July 2020 

Both annual and Termly Student Bus Passes are only available to purchase online.

If your Student Smart Card has expired, or is due to expire soon then head to our purchasing page. Add your student ticket to your basket and during checkout, you can choose 'Select a Smart Card' under the 'Select/Add a Smart Card' menu.

  • Students must show a valid photographic student ID with their Student Smart Card when boarding. The name on the pass must correspond to the name on the Student ID.

  • Student Bus Passes are only valid for travel within the region selected when purchased.

  • Student tickets are not transferable and may only be used by the named student on the Student Smart Card.

Notify us immediately if your Student Smart Card is lost or stolen. You can do this by:

  • Using the 'My Account' section of the website.

  • Contacting the Stagecoach Smart Helpdesk on 0345 810 1000

Student Bus Passes are valid on all of our services. This includes:

  • Park and Rides
  • Busway
  • Citi networks

 

 

Institution Money Off Codes Terms and Conditions:

  • The discount code is only applicable to Student Annual Bus tickets purchased via the Stagecoach website.
  • An account must have been created to redeem the discount code at checkout.
  • The discount code is valid between 2/8/19 and 3/9/19.
  • The discount code is limited to 1 ticket per customer. All additional tickets will be sold at full price.
  • The discount code is only valid on the first purchase made online. This will be applied on a first come first serve basis.
  • The discount code is only valid for use by recipient and cannot be shared.
  • We reserve the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.
  • This discount is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • These terms govern the promotion only, other terms and conditions shall apply.
