Whether you're travelling for work or pleasure you can now park for free at Hazel Grove Park & Ride, located at the junction of Buxton Road and Macclesfield Road in Hazel Grove, Stockport.

Then sit back, relax and enjoy the ride on one of Stagecoach buses frequent services to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport and Manchester City Centre.

Hazel Grove Park & Ride is open to bus users only.

What's at the Hazel Grove Park & Ride?

Facilities at the site include:

  • free parking for four hundred cars
  • fourteen disabled parking spaces
  • eight parent and child parking spaces
  • four electric charging points (available for bus passengers only)
  • waiting room with toilets, including a disabled access toilet
  • 24 hour CCTV

Which services run from Hazel Grove
Park & Ride?

Service 192 runs every day at least every 10 minutes but more at busy times:
  • Service 192:
    Hazel Grove - Stepping Hill - Stockport - Longsight - Manchester
Monday to Friday rush hour services:
  • Service 191:
    Hazel Grove - Stepping Hill - Stockport - Longsight  -   Universities  - Manchester
  • Service X92:
     Hazel Grove - Stepping Hill - Stockport - non-stop - Manchester

Vehicles and cycles are parked entirely at the owner's risk.  We do not recommend that you leave your vehicle or cycle overnight.


How much will it cost to travel from the Park & Ride?

Travel as much as you like around Stockport and Greater Manchester for just £2.50 per day*

  • DayRider adult -  £5.30  
  • DayRider child** - £2.60

  • 7 Day MegaRider adult - £17.50 
  • 7 Day MegaRider child** -   £8.70

Travelling to Stepping Hill Hospital?

Take the stress out of parking for just £1.00 per day*

If you're travelling to Stepping Hill Hospital  take the stress out of finding a parking place and leave your car for free at the Park & Ride.

A single fare from Hazel Grove costs £1.50 or the   7 Day Stepping Hill MegaRider costs just £7 if you are travelling every day.

Buses run at least every ten minutes and run from 4.30 until midnight. Buses stop on the A6 leaving a short walk to the hospital. The bus journey takes around ten minutes. 

*Based on the cost of a £7 ticket used over 7 days. Your ticket is valid between the Park & Ride and Stepping Hill Hospital (Dialstone Lane) on services 191, 192 and X92.

X92 - the faster bus to Manchester city centre

The X92 has a much shorter journey time than the similar 192 service as it has fewer stops.

  • Stockport Mersey  Square  -  then  non-stop until
  • Travis Street (for Piccadilly Station)
  • Whitworth Street/Minshull Street
