What the Quality Bus Network means to you

The Quality Bus Network aims to improve your bus journeys by:

  • making bus timetables more regular during the day so you don’t have to wait as long
  • putting more buses on the roads in the evening
  • improving facilities at bus stops eg better information and improved access
  • implementing multi operator tickets where our drivers will be able to accept certain Arriva tickets on Stagecoach buses and vice versa

Routes and tickets on the Quality Bus Network

The following Stagecoach and Arriva routes and tickets are available on the Quality Bus Network:

From 4th September 2016 Arriva will no longer operate buses on service 2 (Liverpool - Birkenhead - Ellesmere Port - Chester).

Following Arriva's withdrawal from the route the number 2 bus along with the number 1 (Liverpool - Birkenhead - Ellesmere Port - Cheshire Oaks - Chester Zoo - Chester) will no longer be included in the Merseyside Quality Bus Network and Arriva tickets will not be accepted on Stagecoach services 1 and 2.

Customers are advised to contact Arriva  directly should they have any concerns regarding the validity of pre-purchased, long term Arriva tickets.

To minimise the impact of the above changes on our customers we are increasing the frequency of our buses on this service from every 40 minutes to every 30 minutes. The route will also have a new stop at Port Sunlight.

Please check our new timetable or pick one up on the bus.
