We’ve listened to feedback and ideas, and our focus with the latest app developments is to provide a more informed journey to give a smoother and more reassuring experience.
Before we make the new version available to everyone, we’re looking for a small group of regular app users to offer exclusive access to the latest version of our app.

We call a development trial app a "Beta phase" app. We'll use this phrase to refer to the app trial.
The Stagecoach Bus App open beta phase provides an opportunity for Stagecoach Bus App users to trial the latest version of our app before we release it to a wider audience. This will help ensure we provide the best possible experience for our passengers and also provide beta users with the opportunity to feedback on our latest features so we can review how these may be developed further in the future.
As this is a pre-release beta version of the app, it may contain some errors as we complete final updates and changes. If this might be a problem for you, you should not join the beta group and continue using the latest version of the Stagecoach Bus App.
We are releasing the Apple iOS version of the beta Stagecoach Bus App first in August, and it is currently available to UK users of the Stagecoach Bus App using Apple iOS mobile phones on iOS 10 and above. We will be releasing the Android beta version later in the month.
We are looking to recruit regular users of the app who use it frequently and are therefore more likely to identify which features are useful and which may need some improvement.
Unfortunately, we are only able to accept a limited number of beta testers on a first come, first served basis.
How can I get involved?
If you are using an Apple iOS phone you can download the beta version now via TestFlight.
A new version of the Stagecoach Bus App will be downloaded to your phone and your live version deleted.
Your mobile tickets and saved favourites will still be valid and secure when you download the beta version of the Stagecoach Bus App.
If you manually delete your current Stagecoach Bus App before downloading the beta app, then your existing active mobile tickets may be removed. We advise downloading the beta version now via TestFlight.
Sending your feedback is easy. We have a simple online form where you can share your feedback with us.
If you have a problem while using the App, you can get in touch with us via [email protected] and we will aim to respond to you within one working day.
If you download the beta Stagecoach Bus App via TestFlight then your mobile tickets and saved favourites will still be valid and secure.

No. As the beta app is distributed through official channels, it works just like any regular app – you’re not required to make any changes to your device.

As a pre-release version of the Stagecoach Bus App we are asking customers to not share the new app on social media or other channels at this stage including screenshots or information including the link to download – just in case we make further updates based on feedback and to help ensure other customers get the best experience when the App is released fully.
After the beta phase is over, you will still be able to use the beta app. However, we strongly recommend that you delete it and re-install the Stagecoach Bus App from the app store.
As we will be making further changes and updates to the app before officially release, we want to make sure you get the best experience.
