We've put in place measures to allow you to travel safely including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can, keep your distance and take your litter with you. You can keep up to date checking our main Coronavirus page.
During COVID-19, we’re doing all we can for the safety and wellbeing of our customers and employees. That’s why we’re encouraging all of customers to pay with contactless payment where possible. You can pay by contactless with your card or device on all our buses. Please do pay contactless if you can.
Contactless is the fast, easy and secure way to pay for transactions under £30. All you need is a contactless-enabled card or mobile with Apple Pay or Google Pay installed and ready to use.
Contactless is now available on all our buses outside of London.
You are unable to pay part cash part contactless on board the bus.
Contactless payment cards issued for Visa, Mastercard and Maestro can be used. Pre-paid contactless payment cards can be used but please make sure they have enough credit on them before boarding. Payments can also be made using Apple Pay and Google Pay. We’re unable to accept payments by Amercian Express.
You can buy any tickets up to the value of £30 including single, return, dayrider and megariders on both paper and StagecoachSmart.
All our equipment is tested and certified to comply with strict card scheme standards. Contactless payment cards are safe and secure, and have the same level of protection as Chip & PIN payments, so you can feel confident when using one to pay for travel.
