Here at Stagecoach we’re helping our staff to get fit with help from Ferne McCann and her trainer, Ellie Hopley.
Around 100 female Stagecoach staff were invited to an exclusive launch event in London to find out more about their 8-week-home-based programme which promises to improve their physical and emotional health.
The programme – which requires no equipment – was developed by Ellie to fit the lives of busy Stagecoach staff, from drivers to engineers, operations and marketing staff, to managers and directors.
The Stagecoach participants, along with Ferne, will get together to celebrate their results on International Women’s Day in March.
Ferne said: “It’s brilliant that Stagecoach is providing this free fitness programme to staff and I can’t wait to get started on it. I’ve worked with Ellie for the past year and I know the plan she has designed will help us all feel amazing, physically and emotionally, and the beauty of it is that we can all do it together and help each other along the way. For me, I worked hard to remain physically strong throughout my pregnancy and now it’s about getting back to feeling great again in a sensible and healthy way.
“I’m still really proud of the fact that I’ve got my bus driving licence and it’s great to be part of this campaign to help highlight the huge range of job opportunities that exist in the bus industry for women across the country.”
If the programme is a success, Stagecoach plans to open it up more widely to both male and female UK Bus staff.
