Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Duplicated School Transport Services

Customer guidance from 7 September 2020

To help ease increasing passenger numbers, a number of regular Stagecoach service buses will be followed by duplicate vehicles.

Duplicate vehicles will be either coaches or buses, and may be provided by other companies. These duplicate buses will be operated in convoy with your normal Stagecoach bus and our friendly drivers will help you every step of the way!

Simple steps to follow:

  • All customers should continue to board the standard Stagecoach service bus in the first instance
  • Our drivers will instruct you on what to do next
  • Customers are asked to follow this arrangement, as some of the duplicate vehicles may not have ticket machines fitted

What to expect:

  • Adult customers will travel on the Stagecoach service vehicle in the usual manner
  • Parents and children who are travelling together will also travel on the Stagecoach service bus
  • Children who are travelling to school (scholars) may often be required to board the duplicate vehicle to aid social distancing on board. In line with government guidance, social distancing measures on duplicate vehicles will be relaxed. However, scholars should board the Stagecoach bus first, and our driver will confirm what to do next.

If you have any questions, please speak to a member of our dedicated Customer Communications team.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
