Newcastle night buses - travel 'til 3am!

Night buses operate on Friday and Saturday nights in Newcastle, with final departures at around 3am from the city centre.


Now via Central Station

All night buses have been extended to serve Central Station, departing from Bewick Street.


City centre bus stops on Pilgrim Street, Haymarket and Blackett Street will continue to be used too.


There are some minor changes to the routes and times of most night buses - please see full timetable details below.

Service N88 to Fenham

To improve late-night links, service N88 has been extended to serve Spital Tongues and Fenham Hall Drive.

Your ticket home! 

Single journeys on night buses are £2.50​, or travel all night for just £5.00 with the new nightrider ticket.

 

Buy a nightrider from your driver any time on Friday and Saturday and it will remain valid until the last bus home.


You also get more value from megarider and unirider  tickets*, which can be used to travel on night buses.

 

 

 

*Unlimited travel in your area from £14.50 a week with a megarider, or from just 89p per day with a North East unirider.   Concessionary passes, Child 60p singles, VIP £1 singles and VIP megarider tickets are also valid.

Please note: dayrider tickets, VIP 1 day tickets, Day/Junior Rovers, Explorers, Network one, SmartZone, Northumbria University/Newcastle University Passes and Plusbus are not valid on night services N1, N30, N39, N40 or N88.
