Under 19s can also buy a Stagecoach VIP ticket. You’ll be able to use it on our buses in Tyne & Wear and The Tees Valley as often as you like.
You do not need to provide ID to buy or use your VIP ticket. However, to avoid any confusion when you buy your ticket or get on the bus, you can prove you’re a VIP (between 5 and 18 years old) with one of the following:
Keep an eye on the expiry date, to make sure yours is valid.

You can also drop your application form into us at our travel shop on Stockton High Street. We will try to make up your card while you wait but, at busy times, we might ask you to leave it with us and we'll post it out to you.
Please note: you can no longer obtain a card in person at The Wheatsheaf Offices.
You can apply for a free VIP ID card each year. If you need to replace your card, it will cost £3. To apply for a replacement, download our VIP application form and send it back to us.
You can also pay over the phone with a debit or credit card on 0191 566 0231 (Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00). The card holder must make the call.
Your VIP ticket lets you ride on all our buses in the North East, including Teesside, Hartlepool, Tyne and Wear and into Northumberland to Ponteland and Darras Hall.
You won’t be able to buy a VIP ticket on Route 685 between Carlisle and Newcastle.
