Let us show you the beauty the Orkney Isles have to offer! Discover the breath-taking views, dramatic cliffs and historical stone monuments from the comfort of route T11. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery from the top deck of our double deck bus this summer!
Operating daily from Monday 30th March until Saturday 27th October 2018 route T11 will take you to some of the highlights of the island.
The hop-on, hop-off open top bus service departs from Kirkwall at 10am each day travelling west along the coast before arriving at Stromness. Route T11 then stops at Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar and passes the Standing Stones of Stenness before returning to Kirkwall.
We've made a lot of improvements for the summer 2018 season to make visiting the attractions in Orkney even easier. From 30th March Service X1 will increase in frequency to operate every 30 minutes. Service X1 connects Stromness and Kirkwall to many of the sites on the island including the Churchill Barriers, Italian Chapel, Highland Park Distillery, and Maeshowe (alight the X1 at Stenness Visitor Centre to use the shuttle bus to visit Maeshowe).
Service 8S has also been enhanced to give additional connections to Skara Brae. You can sit back and enjoy the views while we take you to the attractions in Orkney.
Timetables for all of our services in Orkney are available to download below. All of our bus services run on a ‘hail and ride’ basis out with built-up areas. Simply get into a safe spot on the main road and make it clear to our driver that you’d like to get on board. If you’re travelling in a group you can even give us advance warning of your group size and where you’ll be boarding. Just contact us on 01856 870 555.
