Located in the heart of the Highlands, Inverness has so much to offer locals and tourists alike.  Whether you’re looking for a Highland getaway or simply getting to work, our busses will take you from A to B (and even past A & E!)

Inverness City Network Gif
From college to commuting, grabbing a bargain or catching a flight - our Inverness city network can take you where you need to go! Not only is Inverness  Scotland’s most  northern city  but it is one of the country’s newest – earning its city status in just 2001. It is known as Inbhir Nis in Gaelic which means Mouth of the River Ness, a highlight feature of the city which flows into the nearby Moray Firth. With such beautiful views to admire, you can hop on board knowing bus travel is helping to protect our planet. When one bus can replace up to 75 car trips, it makes sense to switch!

From heat waves to hailstones,  experiencing four seasons in one day is all part of the norm in Inverness,  so live tracking couldn't be more handy in the Highlands! With our free Stagecoach app, you can track your bus in live time - giving you time for that extra cuppa, or  squeeze in 5 more minutes in bed. Not to mention you can purchase tickets, plan routes and even add your favourite stops. So snooze the alarm and download the free Stagecoach app to help plan your day.

Bus Travel that doesn’t cost the earth

Not only do we provide frequent and affordable bus services in and around Inverness but we’re doing our bit for the planet too. Ever the proud pioneers, our Optare solo buses were the first fully electric buses of their kind to be used in Scotland. Enjoy this new smoother, sustainable way to travel onboard our Service 7 and Service 9 routes throughout the city.
