The service 35 is a pivotal route in North Scotland, we want this route to continually grow, so...
On 29th March 2019 we welcomed 15 brand new (deep breath)
smart electric hybrid low floor double decker buses - Phew! – on
your service 35 route. We invested £3.5 million in 15 brand new
double deckers which increases the capacity by 45% compared to
the coaches, meaning less waiting around for the next bus and better
reliability. The low floors mean the route is more accessible for those
who have mobility issues, travel with prams or using wheelchairs. And
for those sitting on the upper deck, get a new point of view and take in
the panoramic views of the beautiful Moray coast.
The service 35 route has so much to offer, you can have the perfect staycation or a great family day out. Don't just take our word for it, check out The Chaotic's Scot travel blog to inspire your next trip by bus.
"Despite being relatively remote, this super-scenic stretch of coastline is easy – and enjoyable – to reach on public transport. I explored a section of Moray Coast without a car, and loved it." The Chaotic Scot.

Smart Electric Hybrid
Our hybrid vehicles take power from more than one source: a relatively small low emission Euro 6 diesel engine and a highly sophisticated electric motor and battery system.
In standard buses when the driver uses the brake there is friction between the pad and the disc, which slows the bus, but generates significant levels of energy, which is lost in heat. However with an electric hybrid this energy is 'captured' using the motor, acting as a generator and converted to electricity, stored in the batteries for later use.
Low floor buses will improve easy boarding for customers with mobility restrictions and reduce boarding times for wheelchair users. Increasing the accessibility for all our customers
Ok, so this is a obvious one but did you know that using double deckers will offer 45% more capacity for those travelling on the service 35 which means less waiting around if case the bus is full! Not to mention with a double decker you can get panoramic view of the Moray Coast on the upper deck.
There is so much to see on the service 35 route! You can check where the bus stops are using our journey planner.
Get dropped of right at the door of Union Square in Aberdeen for food, drinks, shops and movies or maybe you fancy booking a wee holiday. Get picked up straight at the door if your service 35 journey is just beginning.
