Looking for an Orkney bus tour? You need Route T11

One of the best things to do in Orkney is to hop on-board our T11 service and tour the island's best attractions. If you are looking for an Orkney bus tour, look no further - not only does the T11 offer a hop-on, hop-off service, the entire tour is only £16 per person.

Service departs each morning at 10am from Kirkwall, before travelling west along the coast arriving at Stromness. Route T11 then stops at Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar and passes the Standing Stones of Stenness before returning to Kirkwall.

T11 Service operates daily from Friday 4th April until 25th October 2020. Don't forget to book your ticket here to secure your seat! The T11 ticket allows unlimited travel on the T11 bus route as well as any other Stagecoach Orkney bus on the same day. Persuaded yet? Looking for a Stromness to Kirkwall bus? You need Service X1

The X1 service is ideal for those travelling from Stromness to Kirkwall wanting to see the best Orkney attractions in between. Highlights along the X1 route include the Churchill Barriers, the Italian Chapel and Highland Park Distillery which you can read all about below.   You can also visit  Maeshowe if you take the X1 to Stenness Visitor Centre and use the shuttle bus to   Maeshowe. For those travelling to Orkney by ferry, we also offer connecting services from the ferry terminal throughout the islands. 

Orkney bus timetables are all available to download below so you can begin planning your trip. All of our bus services run on a ‘hail and ride’ basis out with built-up areas. Simply get into a safe spot on the main  road and make it clear to our driver that you’d like to get on board. Orkney bus connections

Whether you visit Orkney by air or sea, there is a bus waiting to whisk you off on an island adventure. We have multiple connections throughout Orkney to  make sure you won't miss a minute of sightseeing. 
Travelling to Orkney by plane?
Jump on the JET (service 4) which will take you from Kirwall Airport to Kirkwall in just 13 minutes. With services running every 30 minutes, you'll be sightseeing in no time! Alternatively service 3 will take you from Kirkwall Airport to Deerness.

Taking the ferry to Orkney?

The X10 picks up  from the NorthLink Ferry at Hatston Pier.  It meets with NorthLink’s evening arrival and departure sailings from Hatston Pier to Kirkwall and Stromness.
Our Orkney bus services don't stop there - Houton Ferry is served by Service 2 and Tingwall Ferry by Service 6 making your travel to Orkney even easier.

If you would like to secure your space on the T11 tour you can book your seat with our advance online booking.  Advance online bookings are available on service T11 only.  Please select "single" as your ticket type for the T11 as the tour starts and ends in the same place to make visiting the top Orkney attractions as easy as possible.

On the Stagecoach Bus mobile app, you can now instantly buy and use Dayrider and 7 day Megarider tickets meaning there is no need to search for change. It's cheaper than other Orkney bus tours

Not only is travelling by bus more sustainable, it's cheaper too! Our T11 Tour is only   £16  for the day which includes the T11 route and travel on any other Stagecoach Orkney bus.  An Orkney dayrider is   £9.30 which covers unlimited travel on all Stagecoach Orkney bus services (excluding T11). If you want to save even more money, you can purchase an Orkney group ticket which is  £18.60  and is   valid for 3 adults, or 2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children.

Whether you're a solo traveller or on a family holiday, Stagecoach in Orkney have a range of bus tickets across the Islands .  As  mentioned above, there is a choice of Dayrider, 7 day Megarider, or single / return fares depending on the length of your stay.

Alongside our kids go for 50p offer, there are group tickets for discounted travel with family and friends. Tickets can be purchased from the driver, there’s no need for exact money because all our drivers carry change. Alternatively, you can pay via the Stagecoach app and use your phone as your ticket!
