Oxford and Oxford Tube Christmas Bus Times and Timetables 2021

Over the festive period our buses will be running to different schedules. Below is a summary of service levels between Sunday 19th December 2021 and Tuesday 4th January 2022.

Our Oxfordshire customer service department will have reduced opening hours during the Christmas and New Year period.

Sunday 19th December 2021

Sunday service on all routes including the Oxford Tube.

Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd December 2021

Saturday service on the majority of routes in Oxford with the exception of:

Normal Monday to Friday service on the following routes -

S1, S2, H2, 233 in Witney (school holiday times).

B3, B5, B9, 200, 488, 500, 505 S4 in Banbury.

700, 800, 900 and S6.

Oxford Tube to London.

Christmas Eve - Friday 24th December 2021

Saturday service on the majority of routes in Oxford with the exception of:

Friday service with an earlier finish on the following routes -

S1, S2, H2, 233 in Witney.

B3, B5, B9, 200, 488, 500, 505, S4 in Banbury.

700, 800, 900 (no early finish) and S6.

Oxford Tube to London.

Christmas Day – Saturday 25th December 2021

No service including the Oxford Tube.

Boxing Day- Sunday 26th December 2021

Special service on some Oxford routes only, including the Oxford Tube with the exception of:

No services in Witney other than the S1 running hourly.

Sunday service on B5, B9 and S4 only.

A special will be running on a number of key routes including on the Oxford Tube. Some services will not run.

Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th December 2021

Sunday service on all routes.

Special service on the Oxford Tube to London.

Wednesday 29th to Friday 31st December 2021

Saturday service on the majority of routes in Oxford with the exception of:

S1, S2, H2, 233 in Witney, Saturday service with the below earlier finishes on the 29th and 30th -

Last bus from Oxford to Carterton at 0030.

Last bus from Carterton to Oxford at 2325.

853 will run normal Monday to Friday service.

B3, B5, B9, 200, 488, 500, 505, S4 in Banbury running a normal Monday to Friday service.

700, 800, 900 and S6 running a Monday to Friday service with earlier finishes on the S6 - 

Last bus from Swindon at 1935 as far as Faringdon only.

Last bus from Oxford to Swindon at 2010.

Oxford Tube running a special service with a Saturday service on New Year's Eve.

New Year’s Day – Saturday 1st January 2022

Special service on some Oxford routes only, including the Oxford Tube with the exception of:

No services in Witney other than the S1 running hourly.

No services in Banbury.

Sunday service on all routes including the Oxford Tube to London.

Tuesday 4th January

Do buses run on Christmas Day?

There are no local bus or Oxford Tube services on Christmas Day. 

Do buses run on Boxing Day?

A special will be running on a number of key routes including on the Oxford Tube. Some services will not run.
