In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales it is compulsory to wear a three layer face covering on public transport. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Government Coronavirus Measures - Changes to Bus Services

Revised timetables in operation further revisions outlined below:

 

Following government guidelines advising against unnecessary travel and social contact, temporary timetables have been introduced across our services since March.

The timetables have been carefully created to ensure that critical routes are maintained wherever possible. Temporary timetables can be viewed under the associated depot tabs at the bottom of this page.

From Tuesday 1st September:

233

NEW Sunday service to run hourly through the day. This is being funded by Oxfordshire County Council through the national Supported Bus Services Fund -  an  investment for local authorities to help provide more bus services in their area.

The Monday to Saturday timetable will remain unchanged from the timetable implemented on 19th July, running every 30 minutes.

488

NEW Sunday service to run every two hours, funded by Oxfordshire County Council through the national Supported Bus Services Fund.

There will be a revised route to serve the Horton Hospital, providing new links from neighbouring villages. The 488 will no longer serve  stops on Bloxham Road, instead serving Horton View and Oxford Road.

There will be changes throughout the timetable during the week to improve reliability. Some trips could change by 5 minutes so passengers who catch set journeys should check online for new departure times.

Timetable restored to pre-Covid times.

S4

Extra evening journeys will be introduced Monday to Saturday (at 2015 and 2145 from Banbury, 2145 and 2315 from Oxford). These additional journeys are  being  funded by Oxfordshire County Council through the national Supported Bus Services Fund.

The express X4 journeys will be replaced by the H4 - a new trip that will service the JR Hospital after Summertown. The H4 trips (of which there will be two a day in each direction) will serve all stops on the route after Oxford Parkway.

In general, daytime journeys will run 5 minutes earlier.

No change to the current Sunday timetable.

15/19

After a review of section 106 funding and operating costs, Stagecoach will no longer be operating the 15 and 19 services from 1st September. The last date of operation will be 29th August.

After this date, services 15 and 19 will be run by Pulhams.

Lost property

We understand that leaving an item on a vehicle can be distressing and we will do what we can to support you to be reunited with your belongings.

However, due to the current social distancing and travel restrictions in place for COVID-19 we are trying to limit the number people arriving in our depots.

Please find details below for our temporary changes to our lost property process which will be in place until further notice:

  • Perishable items will immediately be placed in the bin and will not be returned
  • Phones and Wallets and other items will be booked in and locked away for at least 72 hours to limit the number of people touching these items. Please email [email protected] in the first instance to find out if we have your item and we can advise you further on an individual basis.
  • PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AT THE DEPOT TO COLLECT OR ENQUIRE ABOUT AN ITEM WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT
