There’s plenty to do and see along the route! Here are a few ideas:

  • Take a look into the world of Serial Killers, Forensics, Gangsters, Prisoners and much more at the True Crime Museum
  • Ride the West Hill lift, that offers some of the town's most remarkable views
  • Go back in time and visit Hastings Castle, built by William the Conqueror himself – it’s nearly 1,000 years old!
  • Listen to the "Smugglers Adventure" story, including interactive displays & life-size characters!
  • Take a shot at Hastings Adventure Golf, it features no less than 3 separate 18 hole courses! So bring one, bring all, play one, play all!
  • Get creative with some contemporary British art at the Hastings Contemporary
  • Ride the   East Hill lift, the UK's steepest funicular railway
  • Get up close to countless species of marine life at Blue Reef Aquarium – from sharks and stingrays to seahorses and clown-fish
  • Listen, touch and smell at the multi-sensory Shipwreck Museum - full of artefacts from many ships wrecked in the English Channel.

Hop on and off all day with an adult DayRider, it costs just £4.50 on the bus - it’s even cheaper at £4.20 if you     buy it on our app. With an adult DayRider you can add a   kid for a quid, bargain! You can add up to four kids for £1 each. Hastings and South East MegaRider tickets are valid on the route at all times and concession passes can be used within the usual times of validity.

COVID safety on the open-top bus

It's important that we all follow the COVID safety rules when using the open-top bus. Government capacity restrictions are currently in place on all public services buses in England, including open-top services. That means we need to continue to limit the number of passengers on board and avoid sitting immediately behind or in front of another passenger (who is not in our bubble) - even on the top deck. Face coverings are also required to be worn at all times, unless exempt.

We expect this requirement to be reviewed in-line with the government roadmap for easing restrictions, but until we have confirmation, please make sure you follow the safety guidelines when travelling on the open-top bus. You can find out more on our   web page here.

This year we've teamed up with   The British Tea Museum    to give you 15% off their 'Tea Room Menu' when you travel on the open-top 66! Present your bus ticket on the day to enjoy your discount*.

*The tea room is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. The offer ends 5 September 2021.
