Great value bus travel continues, with single journeys capped at no more than £3*
Bus travel is still a great value way to get from A to B.
We’re taking part in the National Bus Fare Cap Scheme which means that from 1st January 2025, a single bus journey in England will be capped at a maximum of £3 - yes that’s less than a cup of coffee from a high street cafe.
Will all single journeys cost £3?
£3 is the maximum you will pay. Some of our fares will cost less - most single journeys across England will be less than £3, offering great value on everyday trips especially within towns and cities. For those longer journeys, the fare cap ensures you will never pay more than £3 for a single trip. Where could your £3 take you?
What are the ticket prices across Kent and East Sussex?
In Kent, if you are travelling a short hop journey you will pay £1.80 for an adult single or if you are travelling a medium-length journey, you will pay £2.60 for a single adult ticket. You will never pay more than £3 for a single bus journey. If you are travelling further, your single ticket will be capped at £3, no matter how far you go!
In East Sussex, the County Council are supporting reduced single fares. That means, for adults, a short-hop journey will be just £1.00, a medium-length journey will be £2.00, and longer-distance single journeys will be capped at £3 no matter how far you travel.
