What is contactless?
Contactless is the fast, easy and secure way to pay for transactions under £30. All you need is a
contactless-enabled card or mobile with Apple Pay or Android Pay installed and ready to use.
How to use contactless
Look for the contactless symbol on your credit or debit card to see if your card is contactless enabled.
Then, board a bus with the contactless symbol and instead of paying with cash, simply tap your
contactless-enabled credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Andriod Pay on our reader to pay with ease
up to £30. Wait for the beep, collect your ticket and hop on board.

No wallet? No problem! With the Stagecoach Bus App your phone is your ticket! From 2 April, we'll be offering all new 7 day mobile megariders in Kent & East Sussex! Dayriders are still available!
What is the Stagecoach Bus App
The Stagecoach Bus App has all you need in one place - journey planning, live bus times and mobile tickets. The App first launched with dayrider tickets, but from 2 April 7 day megariders will be available too!
How to use mobile tickets
Download the App on the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android) - it's free!
Pay safely and securely using your card or PayPal and your tickets will be ready to use instantly on your phone. Simply activate your ticket when you’re ready to board and show it to the driver.
From 2 April we will be introducing a 50p charge for smart cards issued on the bus.
If you already have a smartcard hold onto it, the card is yours to keep and reuse so make sure you have it with you at all times when travelling.
To protect your card against theft, loss and damage it’s important that you register it. To register your card, follow these simple steps:
1. Go to www.stagecoachbus.com
2. Select ‘Sign up/Log in’ in the top right corner.
3. If you already have an account, log in. If you don’t select ‘Sign up’ and fill in your details.
4. Once logged in/signed up, select ‘Register A Smart Card’ under ‘My Smart Cards’.
5. Now enter your name in the first box, the card number in the second box (the unique 18-digit code on the back) and press ‘Add new card’.
6. Your card should now be added to your account.
