Reach the beach on the Route 500

Summer fun has arrived with a new service connecting Ashford to Dymchurch.

The seasonal route 500 will launch on Saturday 24th May, dropping you off a short walk away from Dymchurch's sandy beach and family-friendly amusement park.

Where and when can I catch the bus?

Whether you’re an all day, all the way beachgoer or just looking to catch some afternoon sun, you can rely on the 500 to reach the beach. It departs from Ashford four times a day, with the last bus leaving Dymchurch High Street at 18:50.

If you're travelling from afar for some seaside fun, the 500 serves Ashford International Station so you don't have to worry about taxis or stressful train connections. The route also serves Kennington, Hamstreet, and New Romney.

From 24th May to 1st June and from 23rd July to 31st August, the 500 will run every day. From 1st June until 23rd July, it will run on weekends only. In other words, the beach bus will run every day during school holidays and at weekends during term time
