How do I buy my Stagecoach Express tickets?

To guarantee a seat, pre-book your coach tickets online at megabus.com. Alternatively pay cash or contactless direct from your Stagecoach Express coach driver on the day of travel (subject to available seating). There is no need to book in advance, however, to guarantee a seat we recommend that you do so, particularly for peak time journeys.
Any tickets purchased at megabus.com will be subject to their terms and conditions, and are only valid on the date and time you select at the time of booking.

Can I make a reservation for Stagecoach Express?

Stagecoach Express is a ‘turn up and go’ coach service i.e. you can decide when you want to travel and go to the bus stop. There is no need to book in advance; however, a select number of seats can be pre-booked at megabus.com. Any tickets purchased at   megabus.com will be subject to their terms and conditions, and are only valid on the date and time specified at the time of booking.

What if I miss my coach?

The service runs up to every hour throughout the day and evening, 7 days a week, so provided you don’t miss the last coach home you should only have to wait until the next scheduled coach. Timetables may vary over the Christmas and New Year period – so check with us in advance if you’re planning to travel at those times.

If you pre-booked your ticket at megabus.com, the fare is determined by the journey you select, so you will be expected to travel on the journey specified. If you wish to travel at a different time, you will need to pay the appropriate walk-up fare in full unless for some reason your booked journey is delayed in which case you will be carried at the nearest possible time.

How long are tickets valid for?

A single ticket purchased on the coach is valid on the day of purchase for one journey.

A single ticket purchased at megabus.com can only be used for the journey you selected.

A return ticket can be purchased on the coach. The outward journey must be made on the same day the ticket is issued.  The return journey can be made either on the same day the ticket is issued or on any off-peak journey on the next day (subject to available seating).

Something went wrong with my journey, how do I make a complaint?

How do I find out if my journey is cancelled or delayed?

Can I get a refund for a cancelled or delayed service?

We will make every effort to operate Stagecoach Express services as scheduled. If a service is cancelled and you pre-booked your ticket at megabus.com, a full refund will be offered. We do not offer refunds on delayed services where the cause is outside of our control.

Subject to available space in the luggage hold, we can also carry bicycles, surfboards and golf clubs. All items must be appropriately secured and are carried at the owner’s risk.
