Cardiff holds a host of fantastic events all year round, whether it's a thrilling game of rugby at the Principality Stadium or a feel-good musical down the Bay at the Wales Millennium Centre and let's not forget our spectacular Medieval Castle. There's always something exciting going on in Wales' capital city.
Famous for it's Medieval Castle, which is the largest in Wales (just in case you didn't already know), along with it's delicious Caerphilly cheese and being the birth place of the comedian Tommy Cooper.
Visit the beautiful Cyfartha Castle built in 1824, which houses a museum with a collection of fine art and history items or if you love the outdoors then take a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Did you know that the fashion designers Julien Macdonald and Laura Ashley are both from Merthyr?
Situated within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire this relatively new town was established in the late 1940's. It is home to a beautiful Boating Lake and Cwmcarn Forest, but if shopping is more your thing then they have a fantastic indoor shopping and dining venue (Cwmbran Shopping Centre)
Consisting of five valleys, the Rhondda Cynon Taff area always has a host of fantastic events going on. Whether it's a guided tour through one of the mine shafts or one of the many seasonal events at Rhondda Heritage Centre or one of the great local events in and around Pontypridd, Ferndale, Porth and more.
Newport expanded rapidly from a small seaport town to one of the most important places in the country for coal export and steel production. The town became known for its accessible modern docks. It has a rich history with places like Tredegar House, Caerleon Roman Fortress Baths and tons of other fantastic things to do.
