MY TRAVEL PASS

If you’re between 16-21 years old (up to 22nd birthday)  you can apply for a free 'My Travel Pass' card. 

You will get 33% discount on your bus travel with Stagecoach in South Wales and other bus operator services.

What is MyTravelPass?

MyTravelPass is a discounted travel scheme funded by Welsh Government giving young people in Wales aged 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 (up to your 22nd birthday) up to 33% discount off their bus travel. 

How do I apply?

There are 3 ways to apply for ‘My Travel Pass’

- Online (fill in the form and provide a selfie). Please make sure the selfie is a passport style photo, hair must be removed from your face, there can't be any other objects, people or animals in the photo with you

- By post (download the form and send a passport photo)

- By phone (one of the friendly team will assist you)

Visit MyTravelPass website for full details on how to apply for your free pass. Once you have submitted your application, sit back and wait for your pass in the post.

Failed Application?

If your application fails, it may be because there's an incorrect detail or the photo hasn't been accepted. You'll be sent an email with details on what to do next, please follow the email instructions and try again.  Don't start a new application again as this may stop you from completing the application.

What to do with your pass?

Once you receive your MTP card in the post, you can buy your tickets on the Stagecoach App or on our website.

• You can buy 1 day or 7 day tickets on the Stagecoach App, your tickets will be loaded onto your phone. When you get on the bus, show both your mobile ticket and your MTP card to the driver.
• You can buy 28 day tickets on the Stagecoach website, your ticket will be delivered to you onto a blue Stagecoach smartcard. When you get on the bus, show both your blue smartcard and your MTP card to the driver. Remember, keep your smartcard safe 
• You can buy your tickets on the bus, please show your MTP card to the driver and they will issue you with the correct ticket.

*MTP is valid for discount on all Stagecoach in South Wales adult bus tickets. Exclusions: MTP is not valid on long distance coach services except TrawsCymru. It is not valid on Megabus services. The pass does not provide proof of age. To qualify for your discount, you must carry your valid MTP card at all times when purchasing or using Stagecoach tickets.
