I J K Exeter New Year New Bus

Have you seen our fleet of brand new buses on service I, J and K in Exeter? In December 2018 we invested £2.5 million in 14 new buses for the service. Your new buses have leather seats, USB charging and free wi-fi. Just like all of our buses, the new fleet can be tracked through our mobile app and have contactless ticket machines meaning you don’t need to worry about having cash again!

Where can I catch the bus?

Digby Tesco (service I and J)  - getting the bus from Digby Tesco is easy, the bus stop is right outside the store so there is no need to worry about carrying those shopping bags. Buses stop opposite the petrol station , just by the main entrance to the Store.

IKEA (service I and J) – whether you’re visiting the store to experience the room settings to squeeze the upholsteries, open the cabinets or simply visit the café, service I connects you to the store every 20 minutes from the city centre. Buses stop right outside the IKEA store.

City Centre (service I, J and K) – We know that Exeter is the regions favourite place for shopping, culture and leisure, that’s why we can connect you there up to every 10 minutes using services I, J and K. The High Street bus stops are in the heart of the City Centre and convenient for shopping, the Cathedral and all of the other attractions the City Centre offers. The High Street is only used by buses and cycles.

Science Park  (service K) – Our service K will get you to the Science Park as early as 0720! The last journey will take you back to the city centre at 2018. Service K connects to the Science Park approximately every 20 minutes from 0900 until 1830 Monday to Friday and approximately every 30 minutes in the morning/evening. Where can I buy my ticket?

Services I, J and K are all within our Exeter City zone.

From the driver when you board the bus. You can pay using either cash or contactless with our driver. If you’re paying cash don’t worry about having the correct change either as all our drivers give change!

Our dayrider tickets offer unlimited travel across your chosen zone, so you can hop on and off the bus as many times as you need!

On the app. You can now buy and store your ticket on your mobile phone. Simply download the Stagecoach bus app to purchase either a day ticket or a 7-day ticket.

Online – our longer term tickets are available to buy in our online shop.

4 week megarider tickets offer unlimited travel within your chosen zone and are the best value if you’re travelling regularly on our services. We also have the option to set up a monthly direct debit using the megarider Xtra ticket  – this means you’ll never have to worry about your ticket expiring as it automatically renews each month.

We are travelling as a group, are there discounts available?

Yes! The Exeter dayrider is also available as a group ticket £8 for 5 people (of any combination adult/child) for the day, offering exceptional value as the adult ticket is £4.

Other useful information

Service disruption/holidays – Services I, J and K usually operate 7 days a week. There may be some alterations to these services during bank holidays or during the festive season (24th December – 6th January). Any disruption to our normal timetable will be available here.
