That's right, single fares are just £1 in Andover!

To celebrate the launch of our new frequent town services, we're pleased to announce that between Monday 27th January and 21st April 2025, all single fares will cost just £1 on routes 1, 2, 3 & 4!

That's just £1 to get to work, to see family and friends, or for a shopping spree! Need inspiration on where to go? We've put together some places along the 4 routes we think you should check out below. 

Made possible by the Hampshire Bus Enhanced Partnership and funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).   

So what's new?

In September of last year we introduced a new town network for Andover, running more buses earlier in the morning, later in the evenings, and at weekends on all of our busiest routes!

Discover Charlton Lakeside

Stroll round the two lakes and take in the views and local wildlife, from water voles and otters, to kingfisher and geese. Complete with adventure golf, boating, pedalos, 3-par golf and a play park Charlton Lakes is a great place for all ages. Finish off your day with a hot drink or snack at the cafe.

Discover Finkley Down Farm

With a massive indoor play barn and the Little Farmers Driving School, this is the perfect place for a family day out. Throughout the day there are animal handling and feeding activities for children to get involved for a Farm-tastic day out! Explore the exotic animal exhibits... if you're feeling adventurous.

Hop on service 2 or 4 and alight at the Finkley Down Farm bus stop. 

Discover Anton Lakes Nature Reserve

An 82-acre nature reserve host to a range of habitats such as wooded areas, wetland meadows, watercress beds and chalk meadows. Keep an eye out for dragonflies, damselflies and a variety of butterfly species like the Common Blue. A great day out with stunning views, perfect for a picnic as we approach spring!

Discover Andover Museum

Learn the story of the town from prehistoric times to the present day, featuring archaeological displays from the Bronze age and Saxon times. Discover the replica roundhouse, handle real artefacts and imagine what life would have been like. The perfect trip for families finished with a museum shop and cafe.

Where can I buy my £1 single fare?

You can buy your ticket with cash or contactless card from the driver, or via the Stagecoach Bus App.

Can I buy a £2 return?

No, you will need to buy a single fare each time you use the bus, we no longer offer return fares.

Can I use my single fare as a through ticket across multiple routes?

Single fares can only be used once per bus - you cannot use one single ticket to change/transfer onto multiple buses. 

Can I use my £1 single fare on other routes?

No, the £1 single fare scheme is only applies to routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Andover to celebrate the recent service enhancements. Single fares will remain the same price on all other routes. 

Are there cheaper single fares for children or students?

No, all single fares will cost £1 regardless of age.

I have a concessionary card, what should I do?

If you are a concessionary card holder, you can continue to use your pass as normal.

Other tickets (Flexi, Group, Week) tickets still work out better value for me, do I need to purchase singles?

No, our other tickets will still be available for purchase, which may work out cheaper for you depending on how often you travel.

Can I use the Jobseekers 50% off discount on the £1 single fares?

No, the 50% jobseekers discount does not apply to the £1 single fare scheme.
