StudentRider Tickets for College Travel

Whether you're in further or higher education StudentRider tickets are the flexible ticket that gives you cheaper travel anywhere in your local zone. You can travel in the evenings and at weekends on  any Stagecoach bus** in your chosen area.

Some colleges provide a subsidy for full time students, if you are entitled to subsidised bus travel, please contact your college before you purchase your bus ticket.

Along the South Coast, we also offer a Gold 7 day MegaRider ticket for students at £20.20, this is available to buy on for your smartcard on the bus. This is valid for 7 days travel on the whole of the Stagecoach South network**

 

*Based on price of Gold annual StudentRider ticket £745 over 365 days. Where equivalent to adult Gold 52 week pass would be £930, saving 20%.

 

**Available to purchase on services within the Havant, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Hayling Island, Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Worthing and Brighton area. Excludes Park and Ride & special event services.

What happens if I lose my student bus pass? 

We realise that there is a small chance of you losing your ticket, please look after it as it’s a valuable item.
If your card is registered the card to your Stagecoach account you’re protected against theft, loss and damage. It’s a valuable item, though, so please try to look after it. If you do lose it, get in touch with us on 0345 810 1000 with a crime reference or lost property number from the police.

 

Can I cancel my student bus pass? 

You can but why would you want to? If you really find that you don’t want great value bus travel anymore, log in to the website and select the Manage My StagecoachSmart section of MyStagecoach or call 0345 810 100. There will be a small charge to process the cancellation/refund.
