Arran By Bus

Many people call Arran ‘Scotland in miniature’ because it has the best of Scotland all on one small island! Beautiful coast lines, dramatic beaches, great local produce, tasty food and drink, a beautiful mountain that you can climb to 2866 ft above sea level and of course the world famous whisky distilleries!

Arran is beautiful all year round, and is a great escape from city life that isn’t too far away meaning you can pop over for a long weekend! If wildlife is your thing, you can see red squirrels, deer, otters, basking sharks, seals and even golden eagles on the island and coast.

We run services to get you right round the island, so sit back and take in the beautiful views while we do the driving!

Tickets

If you’re going to be jumping on and off different buses, we’d recommend getting a dayrider ticket which lets you hop on and off any of our services on Arran!

If you’re over for a short break, you can also buy a 3 day rover ticket which gives you three days of unlimited travel on board any of the services in Arran – this ticket can only be bought on board from your driver!

It’s so simple to travel by bus, gone are the days of needing the exact change or working out complicated timetables.  Simply download the Stagecoach Bus App and you’re good to go.

On board you can pay by contactless (up to £30) with card, android or iOS.  Just tell the driver where you want to go.

How do I plan my journey?

We know that although your favourite shops and restaurants on the Island are reopening it can still be daunting to head out after lockdown. That’s why we’ve introduced a feature on the Stagecoach Bus App – Busy Bus – using AI technology, the new feature lets plan your journey and gives a guide on when buses are busy.

Find out more about Busy Bus here

You can also buy tickets, track your bus and view timetables on the handy app too!
