Dumfries and Galloway By Bus

Dumfries and Galloway is situated in the stunning Scottish lowlands. The area boasts rocky coastlines, sandy beaches and acres upon acres of forest and green spaces – hence why the area is so popular with outdoor lovers!

Maybe you’re looking for some high adrenaline fun, which can be found at the Galloway Activity Centre in Castle Douglas, with both land and water based activities for you to try. Or maybe you’d prefer a peaceful stroll along one of the beautiful beaches in Dalbeattie (some even call it the Costa del Solway!) Either way, we can take care of the driving so you can enjoy the beautiful south west Scottish scenery.

Offering on board air con, Wi-Fi, charging, a guaranteed seat and fully accessible, you can travel in style. You can catch the X74 from Buchanan Bus Station and tickets start from £10.

How do I plan my journey?

We know that although your favourite shops and restaurants are reopening it can still be daunting to head out after lockdown.

That’s why we’ve introduced a feature on the Stagecoach Bus App – Busy Bus – using AI technology the new feature lets plan your journey and gives a guide on when buses are busy.

We’ve also created a handy Covid-19 guide for you to use before you head out for the first time. Read more here.
