Glasgow And Cumbernauld By Bus

Glasgow is home to some of Scotland’s top cultural attractions, restaurants and quirky cafes, shopping, gigs, performing arts, theatre and sport.

If you’re visiting the city for the first time or a regular Monday to Friday commuter there are regular Stagecoach bus services operating every 15-20 minutes connecting you from Ayr, Kilmarnock and surrounding Ayrshire towns and villages.

Cumbernauld is one of Scotland’s best known ‘New Towns’, its home to Britain’s first shopping centre and the world’s first multi-level covered town centre.   The Antonine Shopping Centre provides a large variety of shops and there are plenty of places to eat around the town.

Regular Stagecoach bus services operate to Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Dunfermline and St. Andrews with local services connecting neighboring towns and villages.

Best of all – Glasgow and Cumbernauld are destinations all accessible by bus.

How do I plan my journey?

We know that although your favourite shops and restaurants are reopening it can still be daunting to head out after lockdown. That’s why we’ve introduced a feature on the Stagecoach Bus App – Busy Bus – using AI technology the new feature lets plan your journey and gives a guide on when buses are busy.   We’ve created a handy Covid-19 guide for you to use before you head out for the first time.

Plan your journey on the Stagecoach Bus app or on the Stagecoach Bus website.

Where to buy my ticket?

It’s so simple to travel by bus, gone are the days of needing the exact change or working out complicated timetables.  Simply download the Stagecoach Bus App and you’re good to go.

On board you can pay by contactless (up to £30) with card, android or iOS.  Just tell the driver where you want to go.

If you’re looking for a 7 day ticket, order it online and we’ll post your ticket loaded onto a handy smart card.  Don’t worry about using a plastic card – your ticket is reusable and you can top it up as many times as you want to travel.
