Tickets for children
Up to 5 years old
Up to four children under 5 years old can travel for free when accompanied by a responsible, fare-paying passenger. These children should not occupy a seat that a fare-paying passenger might need or stay in a buggy in an unsuitable place on the bus.
See our conditions of carriage for more information about carrying small prams and buggies.
5–15 year olds
Children from 5 - 15 may be asked to prove their age by showing ID to our driver. If you don’t show ID when your driver asks, you will need to pay the full fare. A Young Scot card is a great form of ID.
Single and return tickets
Children aged from 5 to 15 can travel for up to 40% less than adults with a single or return ticket.
Child DayRider tickets
Children aged 5 to 15 can use a child DayRider ticket. It allows one day’s unlimited travel in your chosen travel zones.
Child Flexi 5 tickets
Children aged 5 to 15 can now buy a bundle of 5 DayRider tickets for the price of 4 on the Stagecoach Bus App with our Flexi 5 offer. Each DayRider ticket can be activated at any time within one month from purchase.
Child MegaRider tickets
Children aged 5 to 15 can buy 7 day or 4 week MegaRider tickets for the area of their choice in West Scotland. This allows unlimited travel on any service within the chosen zone.
