In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales it is compulsory to wear a three layer face covering on public transport. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

Park & Ride into Cheltenham

Free parking and buses direct into Cheltenham 

If you are arriving into Cheltenham by car, you can use our Cheltenham Park & Ride service to beat the town centre traffic and save on parking costs.
 
We have two Park & Ride sites which run regular buses into Cheltenham Town Centre. Arle Court (GL51 6SY, near M5 Junction 11) and Cheltenham Racecourse (GL50 4SH).  
 
The journey from Arle Court and the Racecourse to Cheltenham Promenade takes on average 13 minutes by bus, so you can sit back, relax and make the most of the bus lanes.

How do I get free parking?

There is a parking system at Arle Court, please follow the instructions below. 

  • Once you've parked your vehicle, you'll need to enter your vehicle's registration into the touchscreen machines next to the bus shelter
  • You will receive a reusable ticket with a QR code. Keep this ticket safe. 
  • When you board,, scan your QR code ticket using the reader on the bus.This will confirm you qualify for free parking.

Note: If the ticket isn't scanned on the bus, the user will be issued with a penalty charge notice and fine of up to £50. There are no parking measures at Cheltenham Racecourse although parking restrictions are in place in the evenings.
