We're off to the Races, direct from the Railway Station & Town Centre

The November Meeting starts soon and we're all set to help you get there with our shuttle service. We run every few minutes from the station and from town, and we'll take you home again.

Getting to the Racecourse

There’s two options for you to get to the Racecourse, both run every few minutes from 9am until 1pm.

From the Railway Station

You can board at the Railway Station where we’ll be right outside on the station forecourt with buses lined up and ready to go.

It’s £5.50 for a return or £3 for a single.

You’ll need to buy a ticket from one of our friendly ticket sellers before you get on the bus. Or if you’re keen, you can buy a ticket from Great Western Railway or Cross Country before you get to Cheltenham Spa – make sure you ask for a races special ticket at £5.50.

We’ll take you from the station to the racecourse through the town centre, so you can hop off for a quick drink and then jump back on, or just get straight to the course! From the railway station we’ll drop outside The Bank House on Clarence Street then pick up again outside WHSmith on High Street, just around the corner.

From the Town Centre

If you’re already in Cheltenham then we’ve got buses for you too. We’ll pick up outside WHSmith on the High Street and take you straight to the racecourse. You’ll need to buy a ticket in cash from one of our friendly ticket sellers before you get on the bus.

It’s £5.50 for a return or £3 for a single.

If you’re getting into Cheltenham by bus then you can use your Dayrider or Explorer ticket on our D or E buses which leave from outside The Bank House on Clarence Street [Stop 8]. You won’t be able to use your ticket on our Special Races services.

Getting home again

While you’re having a flutter, we’ll be gathering buses and drivers to get ready to take you home again. Our buses will pick you up in the same place we dropped you off, from the New Barn Lane car park at Cheltenham Racecourse.

We’ll run every few minutes from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

You'll need to keep hold of your return ticket or buy a single to get back for £3.

We'll ask to see your ticket when you get to the bus so make sure you've rummaged around to find your return or bought a single in cash before you get there.

Cheltenham can be very busy around the races so if you’ve got a specific train to catch, make sure you leave plenty of time.

The bus will go to the Railway Station through the Town Centre so you can head home, or celebrate your winnings in Cheltenham.

It'll drop off on the Prom, outside Waterstones and right outside the station. Every bus will go to both places so you don't need to worry about getting the right bus.

Heading home early?

If you need to get back before our shuttle starts running again, your can use your races return ticket on our D & E buses. This stops on Evesham Road, the other side of the roundabout outside the Racecourse until 3PM.

Travelling with a Dayrider or Explorer ticket?

Dayrider or Explorer tickets aren't valid on our special races service so you'll need to catch a   D or E bus   from Evesham Road.

The stop next to the Racecourse Roundabout on Evesham Road will be closed from 3pm until 7:45pm so you'll need to walk  down to the next stop, outside Pittville Pump Room on Evesham Road.
