Cheltenham Races 2018: Shuttle Bus Information  

During Cheltenham Races, 13th - 16th March, we will operate a dedicated service from the Railway Station and Town Centre to the Racecourse. 

  

Getting to the Racecourse 

  

We will be running a shuttle bus service from Cheltenham Railway Station,  stopping at Cheltenham Town Centre outside of WH Smith, to the Racecourse.

These buses will be running frequently through-out the morning, with the first bus departing the Railway Station at 09:00 and the Town Centre at 10:00. The last shuttle bus to the Racecourse will depart at 13:00.

Leaving the Racecourse

 

Our shuttle bus service will leave the Racecourse  from South Car Park, stopping at Cheltenham Town Centre and the Railway Station. Buses will begin to leave the Racecourse at 15:30 and will run regularly up until 19:30.

The D & E service will  continue to serve Evesham Road, outside of the Racecourse, from the bus stop at Pitville Pump Rooms. From Tuesday, the D & E service will not be able to enter the Railway Station Car Park. Your nearest stop will be on Gloucester Road outside of the Station.


Tickets

Tickets for the shuttle bus will be available to purchase from sellers at Cheltenham Railway Station, Cheltenham Town Centre and at the Racecourse.

£5 return

 

Please note that tickets are not available to purchase on the bus so must be bought prior to boarding. Ordinary Stagecoach bus tickets or passes cannot be used on the shuttle bus. 
 
If you are planning to use our D & E service then you  require a Stagecoach bus ticket which can be purchased on-board using cash or contactless card. You can also buy your ticket in advance through the Stagecoach Bus App.

24/7 service between Cheltenham and Gloucester

Our 94 service operating between Cheltenham, Churchdown, Longlevens and Gloucester will be running 24 hours a day. With services running up to every 10 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night.

Additional late night buses to Cirencester & Swindon

We've added extra evening journeys to our Service 51 from Tuesday 13th until Friday 16th March. Services will run every hour in the evening from 8:15pm until 11:15pm between Cheltenham, Cirencester and Swindon. View the temporary timetable below.
