We will be making some improvements to our Cirencester network on 4th August in response to customer feedback and also in preparation for our new partnership with Cirencester College.
This service will pick up and set down on the A429 for the Hospital and will not serve the Hospital grounds.
To improve access for students attending Cirencester College, buses from Swindon will run into Cirencester via Chesterton Lane, A429 and Tetbury Road, taking the same route in reverse from Cheltenham. Buses departing for Cheltenham will leave from Bingham House, whilst departures toward Swindon will leave from The Forum. Please note that Watermoor Lane will no longer be served by the 51.
Buses between Swindon and Cirencster will run hourly, with extra daytime trips previously running as 51A withdrawn. Journeys to and from Kingshill School will continue as additional trips on 51. A daytime link to Cirencester town estates will be provided by the new 58.
Daytime buses between Stroud and Cirencester will continue to run, at new times to connect with lesson schedules at Cirencester College. Please see 51 for all journeys between Cirencester and Swindon.
This service will run every hour, Monday to Saturday daytime (9:30 - 15:30) between Stratton Heights, Bowling Green, Town Centre, Hospital (A429), Chesterton, Tesco, Kingshill Meadow and return to the town centre. This replaces buses running as 51A and is additional to serving 50.
At customer request, we've added an extra journey to provide an 08:35 arrival into Cirencester from Lechlade and Fairford. This journey, and a return at 15:20, will additoinally serve Kingshill School. In Highworth, buses will run via Grove Hill and St Michael's Avenue to provide a two-way link to the new supermarket at the north of the town. Most buses on the service are re-timed to improve punctuality and accommodate a new finish time for students at Farmors School.
850 - Watermoor - King Street School - Watermoor Primary School
This shuttle service between Watermoor & Kingshill Primary School will cease due to a drop in the number of scholars using the link this year.
