Commercial Officer – Stagecoach Yorkshire

 

Salary: Up to £35,000 p.a. based on experience.

 

Applications are invited for the post of Commercial Officer based in the Yorkshire head office in the centre of Barnsley.

 

With over 320 buses spread across five sites, Stagecoach Yorkshire is one of the region’s biggest bus operators. We are recruiting a Commercial Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

 

The role of the Commercial Officer is to work within the commercial team producing

optimised timetables and driver duties using the latest AVL data and the Optibus scheduling system. Prior experience in the use of Optibus is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

 

You will be required to produce optimised timetables that meet contractual

requirements, and working schedules that comply with legal and agreed parameters whilst maintaining or improving on current efficiencies. You will need to liaise directly with local depot staff and trade unions.

 

There will be opportunities to work in other areas of the Commercial function, including ticket machines, data analysis/reporting and franchise bidding.

 

We are looking for someone who is committed to public transport and is able work within a small team. You need to be computer literate, adaptable to new systems, flexible in their approach to work and be able to work accurately despite tight deadlines.
