We are Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire and we operate local and regional bus services from our 5 depots based in Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal, Morecambe, and West Cumbria.
Each year we operate bus services that connect the local communities we serve, getting people from A to B for work, education, and leisure. All together we cover around 12 million miles and carry over 20 million passengers.
People are at the heart of what we do, be that the fantastic staff we employ or the great customers that we carry, and we’re passionate about looking after both as well as we can. We’re a large employer, but with a local feel and are proud to be part of the communities that we serve.
There are around 800 people on our regional team, managing 289 buses, making 21 million passenger journeys each year. We are incredibly proud of our award-winning bus services in the Lake District. Our Lakes Connection network offers visitors a car free, environmentally friendly experience, with amazing views from every corner of the National Park (and beyond!).
We are committed to providing our communities with sustainable travel options. Most of our fleet are low emission vehicles and we have recently secured funding for 42 new electric vehicles which will be introduced into service in 2025 with our aim to have a zero-emission fleet by 2035.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire takes great pride in supporting our local communities.
We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full. Each year we sponsor Cash for Kids Mission Christmas and Cash for Kids Day.
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.
We have partnered with Age UK to offer Grand Days Out to encourage pensioners to get back on bus and make use of their concessionary pass to visit local attractions. We have hosted 15 Grand Days Out to date, with over 300 pensioners enjoying getting back on bus
We host our Long Service Awards annually, to celebrate Stagecoach employees who have achieved 20 years and plus continuous service. Our individual depots also have active social clubs who organise a range of social and sporting events.
