
The iconic Dotto mini train is back in Eastbourne for 2026! Serving the Sunshine Coast once again, the popular seafront tourist train returns on Saturday 28th March 2026.
Take a relaxing and picturesque ride along the beautiful Eastbourne Seafront aboard the Dotto land train. It's a fun way to explore the seafront, whether you're visiting for the day or looking for family-friendly things to do in Eastbourne.
Hop on and hop off throughout the day and enjoy the views as the train travels between some of Eastbourne's most popular seafront locations.
The Dotto train is suitable for all ages and is especially popular with families and children.
How much does the Dotto train cost?
- £5.50 for adults
- £3.00 for children (ages 5-15)
Your ticket allows unlimited hop-on hop-off travel all day, so you can explore the seafront at your own pace.
Tickets can be purchased on the Stagecoach Bus App or directly from the conductor on the train.
When does the Dotto train run?
The Dotto mini train will operate along the Eastbourne Seafront on the following dates:
- Easter holidays: 28 March - 12 April 2026
- May Bank Holiday weekend: 2 - 4 May 2026
- Weekends throughout May
- Daily service: 23 May - 13 September 2026
The train will not operate from 13 - 16 August during the Eastbourne International Airshow (Airbourne).

The Dotto train is a turn-up-and-go service that operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply hop on at any stop along the route and purchase your ticket on the Stagecoach Bus App or from the conductor.
