Important Changes to Stagecoach East Midlands Interconnect 51 and 59 services

26 Apr 2019

  • Interconnect 51 and 59 connect Grimsby, Louth, Mablethorpe and Skegness
  • Route changes improve links between North East Lincolnshire and Mablethorpe

Stagecoach East Midlands is making improvements to popular routes between Grimsby, Louth, Mablethorpe and Skegness.

The changes, that come into effect on Monday 29 April, will see the current InterConnect route 51, from Grimsby to Louth via Holton Le Clay, extended to serve Mablethorpe and Golden Sands, terminating at the Seal Sanctuary.

Currently passengers travelling from Grimsby and Holton Le Clay, have to change buses at Louth. However, from Monday 29 April, passengers will be able to stay on the bus all the way through to Mablethorpe.

Passengers wishing to travel beyond Mablethorpe, and further along the coast to Sutton on Sea or Skegness, can do so by catching the InterConnect 59 service at either Mablethorpe (Seacroft Rd) or at the Seal Sanctuary.

From Sunday 28 April, InterConnect 59 bus timings between Skegness and Mablethorpe will be amended with the route also serving Golden Sands.  Passengers wishing to travel beyond Mablethorpe to Louth or Grimsby, will need to change buses on to InterConnect 51.

The adjustments to the current operation have been introduced to help improve links between North East Lincolnshire and Mablethorpe, and also to create a direct link to the popular Holiday Park at Golden Sands.

Customers can take advantage of the value bus tickets, on these services. A new Duo ticket can be used for passengers travelling together; where one adult buys a full price return ticket, a second person can travel for half price. For commuters the Megaconnect, a weekly ticket, has been reduced to £30. Families can take advantage of the day out ticket for 5 people at £19 (max 2 adults).
