· 30% increase to Stagecoach East Midland’s services at busiest times to meet extra demand
· Additional journeys and later bus departures on Park & Ride and local services
Stagecoach East Midlands today released details of its increased services to Hull Fair.
From 4 October to 12 October, a third more buses will operate at the busiest times on the Park and Ride services at Humber Bridge and Priory Park as well as those from Kingswood, Bransholme and East Hull.
Buses will run up to every 10-15 minutes.
This will be the ninth year that Stagecoach has provided alternative transport options to the popular event to help ease congestion and cope with the increased demand of one of Europe’s largest travelling funfairs.
Service numbers 3, 7, 7a, 10, 10a, 11, 11a 12, 12a will run regularly to Hull Fair with buses from 1600-1900 Monday to Friday and from 1300-1900 on Saturday. Shuttle buses are also available from Hull Interchange Bay 4 via Park Street up until 1930.
To accommodate those enjoying the delights of the Fair, later services will operate this year leaving up to 2315hrs from Anlaby Road / West Park.
Fares start from £3.50 for an adult return ticket, £9 for a family ticket for up to 2 adults and 3 children, £1.80 for children under 11 and £2.30 for children aged 11-16. Passengers can also take advantage of travelling with a friend and purchase a Duo return for £5.25. The shuttle bus service is free for those travelling with a return ticket purchased on other services.

“This year we have increased our services and changed our scheduling to include later buses departing from the Fair, with many of our regular services running more frequently to help our passengers enjoy all that the Fair has to offer.”
