Stagecoach East Midlands celebrates outstanding present haul after 'Filling the Bus' for local children

• Supported children with gifts for Christmas
• Collected from locations across Humberside and Lincolnshire
• Stagecoach East Midlands colleagues also made donations

Stagecoach East Midlands is celebrating the results of a bus drive that saw generous local people and businesses donate presents, which made Christmas extra special for over 10,000 local children in need.

Throughout December, Stagecoach East Midlands helped facilitate the ‘Fill The Bus Tour’, with a bus and members of the team gathering gifts from local people and businesses across Humberside and Lincolnshire. In addition, the operator also toured all its own local depots, collecting gifts and donations worth an extra 1,132 presents, from its generous team.

Together, the donations supported an amazing 10,224 children across the region.

The Fill The Bus Tour saw Stagecoach East Midlands partner with Hits Radio for the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign. ‘Mission Christmas’ supports disadvantaged children, who would otherwise wake up on Christmas morning without a gift to unwrap.

Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “I am so proud to see the results of the Fill The Bus Tour, which was made possible by the hard work and generosity of our team, who really showed how much our local communities mean to them. One member of our team – who has been part of the team for several decades – decided to donate one gift for each year that he has been with us. That kind of generosity is very special.”
