Stagecoach East Midlands announces route changes during Lincoln Footbridge Demolition

● Broadgate and Lindum Hill will be closed from 7pm Friday 16 May to 6am Monday 19 May.

● The southbound section of Broadgate, between Monks Road Junction and Pelham Bridge will be closed from 7pm Friday 16^th May to 6am Monday 19^th May.

● The closure affects Stagecoach services 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 17, 18, 53, 56, 103 and M2.

● Temporary diversions will be in place for the duration of the works.

● Some bus stops on key roads including Broadgate, Lindum Hill, and near Lincoln Cathedral will be out of use.

● Some bus stops on key roads in the North of the city, including Broadgate, Lindum Hill and Cathedral Quarter will be out of use.

Stagecoach, the UK’s leading bus operator, announced services in Lincoln will be subject to diversions from 7pm on Friday 16 May until 6am on Monday 19 May due to the demolition of the public footbridge on Melville Street.

The footbridge, known locally as Scott’s Bridge, will be removed to make way for a new hotel and residential development at the site of the former City Square Centre. The demolition requires a full closure of Broadgate and Lindum Hill, affecting a number of key services in and out of Lincoln City Centre.

The demolition of Scott’s Bridge will result in service diversions from 7pm Friday 16th May until 6am Monday 19th May. The demolition has been planned collaboratively with local authorities and partners to ensure safety and minimise disruption to travel and access in the area.

Clear diversions will be in place, and our teams will be on hand to help passengers navigate the changes. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers while these improvements take place.”

Service 3: Outbound to Fiskerton diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Monks Road. Inbound diverts via Greetwell Road, Lincoln Eastern Bypass, Washingborough Road, Canwick Road, and Pelham Bridge. Stops on St Swithins Square and Broadgate will not be in use.

Service 4: Outbound to County Hospital diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via County Hospital, Greetwell Road, Monks Road, Clasketgate, Beaumont Fee, and Wigford Way. Stops between the Peacock and Lincoln Prison will not be in use inbound.

Service 5: Outbound to St Giles diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Macaulay Drive, Ruskin Avenue, Longdales Road, Yarborough Crescent, The Avenue, and Wigford Way. Stops on Ruskin Avenue, Wragby Road, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 7: Outbound to Ermine Estates diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Riseholme Road, Yarborough Crescent, The Avenue, and Wigford Way. Stops on Newport, Cathedral, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 8: Outbound to Ermine Estates diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Burton Road, Yarborough Road, The Avenue, and Wigford Way. All stops between Burton Road Roundabout, Lincoln Cathedral, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Services 10 and 12: Outbound to Waitrose diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound to Welton diverts via Nettleham Road, Longdales Road, Yarborough Crescent, The Avenue, and Newland. Stops between Ruskin Avenue Roundabout and Lincoln Bus Station will not be in use inbound.

Service 17: Outbound to Ermine Estates diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via County Hospital, Monks Road, Clasketgate, Beaumont Fee, and Wigford Way. Stops on Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 18: Outbound to Ermine Estates diverts via Wigford Way and Silver Street. Inbound diverts via Burton Road, Yarborough Road, The Avenue, and Wigford Way. All stops between Burton Roundabout, Lincoln Cathedral, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 53: Outbound to Grimsby diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Outer Circle Road, Greetwell Road, Lincoln Eastern Bypass, Washingborough Road, and Canwick Road. Stops between Greetwell Road roundabout, Lincoln County Hospital, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 56: Outbound to Skegness diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Outer Circle Road, Greetwell Road, Lincoln Eastern Bypass, Washingborough Road, and Canwick Road. Stops between Greetwell Road roundabout, Lincoln County Hospital, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service 103: Outbound to Scunthorpe diverts via Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Lindum Hill. Inbound diverts via Riseholme Road, Yarborough Crescent, Yarborough Road, The Avenue, and Wigford Way. Stops between Newport, Cathedral, and Broadgate will not be in use inbound.

Service M2: Outbound to Moy Park diverts via Monks Road, Clasketgate, Beaumont Fee, Wigford Way, Pelham Bridge, and Canwick Road. Inbound to Lincoln diverts via Canwick Road, Pelham Bridge, Wigford Way, Silver Street, and Monks Road. Bus stops on St Swithins Square and Broadgate (Telephone Exchange) will not be in use in either direction.
