Back Stagecoach

Sammy is at the Wheel

12 Apr 2024

Scotland's number one club mascot Sammy The Tammy, sporting the brand new Scotland kit, was at the wheel of one of Stagecoach's electric buses, part of the Stagecoach zero-emission bus fleet in Dunfermline that will be transporting supporters to KDM Group East End Park from all across Scotland.

Initially, the partnership will allow anyone with a ticket for any of the 3 Scotland matches to travel to/from the stadium free of charge using a East Scotland DayRider ticket. Fans can travel from as far afield as Glasgow to the west, and Aberdeen to the North with a saving of up to £11.50 per person. Once match tickets have been bought, ticket holders will receive a special promo code that can be redeemed on the Stagecoach Bus App for the free travel.

DAFC Commercial Manager Alister Burn commented, “At the outset, we wanted to create an event that was as affordable for as many people as possible to attend. With our Stagecoach partnership this makes it even more accessible with a saving of £27 for a family of 4. We were also acutely aware of the environmental impact such large scale events have, so allowing Scotland fans to leave their cars at home and travel green with Stagecoach is another huge positive.

Scott Hall, Head of Commercial for Stagecoach East Scotland said “We're proud to be the Official Transport Partner for the Dunfermline City Fan Zone, helping the people of East Scotland get to the events and support Scotland in the EUFA European Championships 2024. It's important for us to give back to the local community who rely on our services each day, and we look forward to cheering on the Scotland National team together".

The Stagecoach ticketing offer will also be extended to other events scheduled for the Fan Zone as they are announced.
