Stagecoach have confirmed timetable changes across Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross, from Monday 13th May 2024. This date follows consultation with Angus Council and the evaluation of customer feedback received from the local community.
Various services have been retimed with adjustments to journeys better reflecting how these services were used by the community. Some journeys have been withdrawn and new service 40 combines services 30 and 47, to operate between Edzell, Stracathro Hospital, Brechin, Montrose and Arbroath.
Service 39 now has an increased service frequency between Arbroath and Dundee/Ninewells to every 30 minutes with journeys extending to Invergowrie and hourly to operate via the Carse to Perth city centre and Perth Royal Infirmary.
Service X7 will be withdrawn between Dundee and Perth with revised service 39 now offering a low floor bus link between these locations and hospital sites.
Douglas Robertson, Managing Director, Stagecoach East Scotland commented: “We’re extremely grateful for the feedback received from the community regarding our original service proposals, the process allowed us to focus our attention where customers identified travel challenges and we could establish the best use of resources.”
“Our collaboration with Angus Council in recent months identified some changes to our network of services across Angus which could reduce operating costs yet maintain positive levels of service in the area and we’re confident that the new timetables better reflect the service usage we’ve experienced, whilst also considering the feedback we’ve received from those who rely on public transport.”
New timetables from 13th May are available now on our dedicated Service Update page, with printed and online timetables available from Stagecoach in early May.
