Stagecoach Launches Enhanced Express Service and Late Night Buses for Edinburgh Festival

Bus operator, Stagecoach East Scotland, is making it easier than ever to attend the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August with enhanced bus services between Fife and Edinburgh. Their routes will offer increased frequencies, with buses departing up to every 5 minutes, making it easier than ever for festival-goers to enjoy the best of the Fringe.

As part of its Edinburgh Express network, Stagecoach will further increase services between Fife and Edinburgh, with the X55 route from Dunfermline and Ferrytoll P&R running every 15 minutes throughout the day and offering special late-night services during the Fringe period and running until the early hours of the morning. The X55 will depart from Edinburgh until 01:15am (Mon-Sun) and 03:15am (Mon-Sat)

These increased services will provide festival-goers more flexibility and convenience as they enjoy performances, events, and nightlife in Edinburgh over the entire Fringe, which runs from 1^st – 25^th August.

Stagecoach is making it easier than ever to experience the Fringe by bus, with their great value DayReturn ticket, from £7 for journeys from West Fife, including Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, and Ferrytoll P&R to Edinburgh city centre.

All tickets are available via the Stagecoach app for a seamless travel experience, where users can also plan their journey and view live bus tracking

Day Return fares include:

• £8.10 from anywhere in Fife to Edinburgh
• £7.00 from West Fife to Edinburgh

These affordable tickets provide great value, making Stagecoach the most cost-effective and convenient choice for Fringe-goers.
