Brand new double deck coaches arrived on Stagecoachs Glasgow Express Network

• 13 brand new double-deck coaches are on the road on Stagecoach's Glasgow Express route.
• Services from Fife run to Glasgow up to every 30 minutes.

Stagecoach have announced that 13 new double-deck coaches are now on the road on their Glasgow Express route as part of improvements across the East Scotland region.

The brand-new coaches will operate on services X24 and X27 leaving from Leven, Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath, St Andrews, Glenrothes, Dunfermline and Halbeath Park & Ride to Glasgow.

The new coaches bring extra seating meaning more capacity to take customers to and from Glasgow and provide customers extra comfort as they travel significantly improving the bus experience for the customer.

Since the introduction of the coaches, there has been 4000 extra journeys been made and the feedback on the coaches has been positive with one passenger who travels from Dunfermline to Glasgow three times a week saying that he has much more leg room, a comfier ride and his favourite feature now being the mobile phone holder in the fold down tray so he can catch up on his programme of choice on his commute.

The happy passenger said: “As a regular commuter from Fife to Glasgow, these new buses are a massive upgrade from the previous coaches. The comfort level is brilliant with much more leg room which helps when you need to stretch out in the morning! Also, my favourite feature of the coaches are the phone holders in the tray. It allows me to watch what I want on my phone and sit in comfort at the same time.”
