Visitors planning a day out to Anstruther this spring and summer are being encouraged to make the most of convenient bus services connecting the popular East Neuk destination.
With its picturesque harbour, renowned fish and chip shops and coastal charm, Anstruther remains one of Fife’s most popular locations for families and visitors looking to enjoy a day by the sea.
Stagecoach services provide simple and reliable connections into the town, with the X61 linking Anstruther directly to Kirkcaldy and St Andrews, and Service 95 connecting communities across the East Neuk. These routes make it easy for customers to travel without the need for a car and enjoy a more relaxed journey.
Bus travel also offers a practical alternative as demand for parking increases during peak periods, with some temporary changes to parking arrangements in place while construction work is carried out on a new lifeboat station in the town.
Visitors to Anstruther can enjoy a wide range of attractions, including the harbour, local shops and cafes, the Scottish Fisheries Museum and boat trips to the Isle of May National Nature Reserve.
Customers can benefit from a range of great value ticket options, including the East Scotland DayRider, which offers unlimited travel across the region. Free bus travel is also available for those aged under 22 and over 60 through the Scottish Government’s national concessionary travel schemes.
