Holiday starts at the bus stop as Stagecoach helps Fife travellers save on airport journeys

  • Direct JET747 and JET787 services connect Fife customers with Edinburgh Airport
  • Customers can save on fuel, parking and airport drop-off costs by choosing the bus
  • Holidaymakers can relax and enjoy a stress-free journey before they even reach the terminal

With the Scottish summer holiday season in full swing, Stagecoach is encouraging travellers across Fife to start their holiday the moment they leave home by swapping the stress of driving for the convenience of its direct airport bus services.

Customers travelling from west and central Fife can take advantage of the JET747, which operates up to every 20 minutes and provides direct, limited-stop links between Halbeath Park & Ride, Inverkeithing Rail Station, Ferrytoll Park & Ride and Edinburgh Airport.

Meanwhile, customers in north-east Fife can travel on the JET787, offering direct connections between St Andrews, Guardbridge, Cupar, Auchtermuchty, Kinross Park & Ride, Halbeath Park & Ride and Edinburgh Airport, making it easier than ever for people across the Kingdom to reach the terminal without the hassle of driving.

As families look for ways to make their holiday budgets stretch further this summer, Stagecoach says choosing the bus can be a simple way to cut the cost of getting to the airport while avoiding busy roads, airport parking charges and expensive drop-off fees before a flight.

Both services offer dedicated luggage storage onboard, while customers using Halbeath and Ferrytoll Park & Ride can benefit from free parking before continuing their journey by bus. The JET747 is operated by Stagecoach's modern electric buses, providing a quieter, smoother and more comfortable journey, with both services offering contactless payment, USB charging points and audio-visual next stop announcements.

Whether travelling for a family holiday, city break or summer getaway, customers can sit back, relax and let someone else take care of the journey.

Fraser Smith, Commercial Director, Stagecoach East Scotland, said:

"For many people, the holiday doesn't feel like it has started until they arrive at the airport, but we think it should begin much sooner.

"Getting away should be something to look forward to, not something that starts with worrying about traffic, roadworks, airport parking or how much it is all going to cost.

"Our JET747 and JET787 services offer customers across Fife a simple, affordable and reliable way to travel directly to Edinburgh Airport. They can leave the car at home, relax on the journey and focus on the exciting part – their holiday.

"Every pound saved on travel to the airport is money that can be spent making memories while people are away, whether that's a family treat, an extra excursion or even the first refreshment in departures before take-off.

"At Stagecoach, our message is simple – we've got you. From the moment you step onboard, we'll take the strain so your holiday can start that little bit sooner."

Edinburgh Airport serves more than 150 destinations through 40 airlines, connecting Scotland with locations across Europe and beyond. Stagecoach's JET747 and JET787 services provide convenient public transport links from communities across Fife to the airport terminal, helping customers travel more sustainably while avoiding the cost and stress often associated with driving.

Adult single fares on the JET747 start from £12.30, while a JET Period Return ticket costs £22.50 and remains valid for 28 days. Customers aged under 22 and over 60 can travel free with a valid National Entitlement Card.
