Stagecoach steps in with shuttle buses to help customers during Perth roadworks

11 Sep 2026

  • S2 shuttle will operate seven days a week between Perth city centre and Tulloch
  • Services 1, 1A, 2, 2A and 15 will operate on diversion from Monday 14 September
  • Stagecoach is funding the shuttle service to help maintain local connections during the roadworks

Stagecoach is stepping in to help keep customers connected during essential roadworks which will close Crieff Road in Perth for two weeks.

The bus operator will fund and run an hourly S2 shuttle service, seven days a week, between Perth city centre and the Tulloch area from Monday 14 September to Sunday 27 September.

The shuttle has been introduced to help maintain access for customers in Jeanfield, Feus Road and Tulloch, where bus stops on the closed section of Crieff Road may not be served by their usual services during the roadworks.

Services 1, 1A, 2, 2A and 15 will operate on diversion while the closure is in place, with customers advised to use the nearest available stop on their diverted route or the S2 shuttle where appropriate.

The S2 will operate an hourly circular route from Perth city centre via South Methven Street, York Place, Glasgow Road, Riggs Road, Jeanfield, Feus Road, Crieff Road, Tulloch Road and Primrose Crescent before returning to the city centre.

Fiona Doherty, Managing Director for Stagecoach South Scotland, said:

“We know roadworks can make everyday journeys more difficult, so we’ve taken the decision to fund the S2 shuttle ourselves to help keep people connected while Crieff Road is closed.

“Our customers rely on us to get to work, school, appointments, shops and to see friends and family, and we want to do everything we can to support them during these temporary works.

“We’d encourage anyone travelling in the affected areas to check their route before setting off and allow a little extra time for their journey. We’ve got you.”

Customers travelling to or from Jeanfield, Feus Road and Tulloch are encouraged to use the S2 shuttle service where possible and customers should also allow extra time for their journey while the road closure and diversions are in place.

The latest timetable and travel information is available through Stagecoach’s usual journey planning channels.
