Stagecoach Manchester Sponsors Junior Football Team

• Bus operator sponsors new team away kit  

Stagecoach Manchester has backed a local football club, sponsoring one of its junior teams.

The Greater Manchester bus operator has provided Reddish Villa’s Under 9’s and 10’s football team with a brand-new away kit, featuring the Stagecoach logo.

The team play in the East Manchester Junior Football League Division 5. As the season reaches its finale the team are looking forward to a Cup Final later this month and potentially playing a team from Barcelona in a tournament in June.

Stagecoach bus driver, Frank Stone, who is Cheshire FA Badge holder, Manager and First-Aider for the team spearheaded the sponsorship said “Our home kit of red and black sometimes clashed with our host’s kit and the team had a to play in bibs. The new team kit will mean we can always play in a football shirt, which is a great boost to the whole team”. 

Rob Jones, Managing Director at Stagecoach Manchester, said: “It’s so important for us to give back to the local community and support the people and families that ride our buses as part of the Bee Network.”
