Encouraging The Engineers Of The Future

On Tuesday 25th November, third year motor vehicle students from Oldham College visited the Stagecoach Oldham Depot for first-hand experience of the day to day operations of their local bus depot.

Operating nearly 200 buses, 85 of which are fully electric, students were given a comprehensive tour of the Engineering facilities, including the pit areas, tyre stores and electric charging area to see how buses are maintained and prepared for to serve the community of Oldham every day.

Anthony Lowe, Fleet Engineer, said our engineering team had a fantastic morning showing the students around the depot, providing an invaluable experience which may encourage more young people to join our industry.
