New Bus Service Launched to Serve Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool

01 Jul 2024

Stagecoach Merseyside will operate a new bus service for foot passengers travelling in and out of the new Isle Of Man Ferry Terminal based at Prince’s Half-Tide Dock, near the Pier Head. The bus service aims to enhance connectivity for foot passengers traveling between the ferry terminal and Liverpool One Bus Station.

The bus service will operate from Birkenhead depot, with the timetable effective from Monday 1st July, operating from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:30. This schedule will be in place until 20th July. From 21st July onwards, the bus service will run from 07:00 to 19:30, seven days a week, providing more comprehensive coverage to meet passenger needs. Notably, starting November, the service will be available on Saturdays and Sundays only, specifically to accommodate the Manxman ferry schedule.

This new bus service is a significant step forward in improving transportation links within Liverpool, enhancing access to the ferry terminal, and supporting the ongoing development of the Liverpool Waters area.
